Frequently Asked Questions How often do you publish pricing information? We anticipate some price changes throughout each year. We will only mail our pricing once per year due to high costs of mailing to lots of independent customers (over 1700 as of this publication). Please email us and we will send you latest changes and new products and information or contact us and download from our password protected online price list..
This price list shows the items we stock in alpha numeric order
by product code. Some people have asked about listing the prices by supplier. We
have chosen not to list by supplier because so many of our products come from
small and unknown manufacturers. Additionally, some manufacturers use several
brand names, for example Woodstream uses Yule Hyde, Perky Pet, Colibris, Birdscapes and also
have other products that they distribute. Other companies use a brand name that is
different than their company name, like Nature house uses the brand names, Trio
and Duracraft. We believe that it would be even more confusing than alpha
numeric pricing. We will be happy to email our price list that is in Microsoft
Excel or Microsoft Works so it can be sorted by supplier. Please email you
request to wbt at wildbirdtrading.com Why do some of the codes in the price list have extra letters that are not shown in the catalogue? There are some companies who use the same codes as each other.
In this case we add a letter or letters after the code number to designate the
supplier. For example, there are two companies who use the code number 6152. We
have the STI item listed as 6151STI and the Artline item listed as 6152. Also, in the Aspects catalogue, the classic and original
thermometers are shown in our price list with the prefix WHWT followed by the
code, (e.g. WHWT240 is the cardinal thermometer.) Please order using this
suffix. There are several items in the Birding Co. catalogue that we already
stock from other suppliers so we use our original codes for these items. Are there more products available than what you show in your catalogues? Yes. There are a number of items that can only be seen on our web site as the supplier does not have a catalogue or the product is too new for a catalogue. Also, catalogues are very expensive to make and some suppliers do not give us enough for all our customers. Why can't I find an item in your price list that is in a catalogue? Generally, any item that is not listed in our pricing is either
very new, not available or not a good seller. Please ask about any item you may
want as we sometimes stock some items not shown on the price list. Some
suppliers have current catalogues that contain delisted products . If the
product is delisted it will not be shown in our price list. Can I buy an item that is in the catalogue but not in the price list? Yes. Any item that is not shown in the price list is available in case lots only as a special order. If you order these items they cannot be cancelled as we will commit to ordering them from our suppliers. We can email the price list including the prices of products we do not stock if you wish to do a special order. Please email you request to wbt at wildbirdtrading.com The shipping on my backorder seems relatively expensive. There are a number of reasons why you could have backorders. Therefore having a backorder shipped separately is fairly routine. If you add the full cost of your order and backorder and compare the overall shipping cost you will find that the shipping is reasonable. At the time of writing this I talked to a customer who was concerned about the freight on a small backorder that was 27%. However, when we calculated the overall cost of his combined shipments the freight costs were 5 1/2%. We have chosen to work this way to ensure that you get the majority of your product as soon as possible and also get good shipping rates. We are missing products from our shipment. Over 90% of items reported missing have been shipped and have been accidentally disposed with the packing material. Posters are almost always sandwiched between cardboard for safe shipping. Please carefully check all packaging for small parts or thin pieces sandwiched between cardboard.
